The Importance of Armanie Hernández
BROTHER OF MISSING GIRL AND ARTIST HAZIEL SAINT-LUC, SON OF THE RENOWNED RAPIST YEFRI HERNÁNDEZ, IS FOUND DEAD IN SEATTLE, FACE DOWN IN THE SEA.
The papers had it printed on their front pages within the day. Press had four facts to work; the first was that Armanie Hernández was still unfound after 10 years. The second was that her half brother, world-known rapper and song writer Haziel Saint-Luc, was sure she was alive. The third was that her father had been a serial rapist for all of her life, and had fathered over 30 illegitimate children. The final was that her eldest brother was dead.
Sam picks up the case with a hope of finishing it cleanly and with a publishing deal or movie rights, but the implications of the Hernández secrets are too strong; he finds himself in the circus of contrasting tales, surrounded by rumour and lies. What is Haziel hiding?
With the case so close to the hearts of several detectives of the Seattle Police Department, including the retired Chief Inspector himself, people want one of two things; a body, or Armanie.
The Importance of Armanie Hernández is a novel am currently editing, hoping to publish. It is based on the difference between blood and family, secrets, and knowing your heritage. I am hoping to have the second draft finished before the end of the year. If you have any questions, advice, or comments, click here.
